Welcome to Girl Power Camp- an inspiring hockey camp for both beginners and active hockey players!
Do you love hockey? Are you curious to try out the sport or looking to take your game to the next level? Either way, you have come to the right place!
For the 7th year Färjestad BK Hockey Alliance invites to Girl Power Camp. Try new hockey training methods under the guidance of experienced coaches, meet new friends and spend the later days of summer on ice! Nearly 200 hockey girls visited Girl Power Camp during the summers of 2015 and 2016. Take your chance – visit Värmland and Girl Power Camp for an inspiring start to your season and an unusually exciting end to the summer holidays!
Girl Power Camp assembles both beginners and active hockey players. The girls are placed in groups according to their experience and skill level, with no prior knowledge necessary. Beginners will learn the basics of ice hockey, including skating techniques, stickhandling and passing. Active players get to try new training methods, with a mix of theory and practice. The camp also includes several joint training sessions, activities and games, giving everybody the opportunity to get to know one another and the sport.
We will again be visited by players from the Canadian university team Brock Badgers where Heather Sorley, Melissa Hurrell och Erin McColm will be part of the coaching staff.
Please note that the rest of the coaching staff for Girl Power Camp 2017 will be announced during spring of 2017.
